Buying on izebuy
You do not need an account to browse. Start from the home page to see the latest and featured listings, or dig into a specific area:
- Browse by category — open the categories page to drill into vehicles, electronics, property, services and more.
- Search & browse listings — the main listings page with the full search and filter bar.
- Explore on the map — on pages where the discovery map is shown you can pan around to see what is for sale near a place, or use the “Browse by city” shortcuts.
Open any listing to see its photos and video, price, description, location on a map, and the seller’s details. Tap the save (heart) button to keep a listing in your account for later.
When you are ready to enquire, contact the seller directly using their Call or WhatsApp button, or the “Ask a question” form on the listing. That message goes to the seller — izebuy is not part of the conversation, and we do not handle payment or delivery. Arrange those directly, and always safely (see below).
Searching, filtering & sorting
The filter bar sits above every listings grid. Type a keyword to search, then narrow the results with any combination of filters:
- Category — limit results to one category.
- Location — search any place in Malawi (or tap “Use my location”) and set a distance radius to see only listings around there.
- Price — show only Discounted items, “Contact for price” listings, or Free items.
- Currency — type a currency (for example MWK for Malawian Kwacha, or USD) to show listings priced in it.
- Date — restrict to a date range.
Then choose how to sort. Featured, Newest and Oldest are always available. Two more sorts unlock when you give them what they need:
- Price: low to high / high to low — choose a Currency first. Listings can be priced in different currencies, so price sorting only makes sense within one currency at a time.
- Nearest — set a Location first, then sort by distance to see the closest listings at the top.
Your selections apply instantly, and the results keep loading as you scroll.
Selling on izebuy
- Create a free account. Register with your email and confirm it, or sign in with Google in one tap.
- Post your listing. Use “Post an ad” and fill in the details. Add clear photos (and a video if you have one), choose the right category, set the location, enter a price in Malawian Kwacha or another currency — or mark it Free or “Contact for price” — and write an honest, detailed description in English or Chichewa. Good photos and a clear description sell far faster.
- Go live. Depending on the site’s settings your listing may be quickly reviewed before it appears. Featured listings are always reviewed first.
- Manage it in “My Ads”. Edit, save drafts, see each listing’s status (Active, Pending, Draft, Expired or Off), renew, or delete — all from your account.
Listings stay live for 30 days and then expire; renewing brings them back in one click. Posting is always free — and so is featuring , if you would like your ads to be featured, just contact us and ask.
Sellers & storefronts
As a seller you can have your own public storefront — a single page that gathers all of your live listings along with your contact details and location. It’s a simple shopfront you can share with a link, so returning buyers can see everything you have for sale in one place.
You decide whether you’re listed. In My Profile → Seller storefront, the “List my account as a seller” toggle controls it: switch it on to appear in the Sellers directory with your public seller page; switch it off to stay unlisted — you can still buy and sell as normal, you just won’t show up in the sellers list. You can change this at any time.
Trusted sellers can also carry a light-blue “Verified” badge next to their name on their listings and storefront. Verification is free — contact us to request it. The badge reassures buyers that you are a genuine, established seller.
Staying safe & reporting
Meet in a safe, public place, inspect the item before you pay, and never send money for goods you have not seen. If something feels wrong, walk away.
Found a problem listing or seller? Every listing and seller page has a “Report” link. Reports reach the izebuy team so we can act on them. (This is different from “Ask a question”, which goes to the seller.) Reporting suspicious or prohibited listings helps keep izebuy safe for everyone.
Your account & the app
A free account lets you post and manage listings, keep saved listings, and run your storefront. You can register with an email address or sign in with Google.
izebuy also installs like an app: open it in your phone’s browser and choose “Add to Home Screen”. You get an app icon, a full-screen experience, and basic offline support — no app store needed.

Frequently asked questions
Is izebuy free?
Yes — completely. Browsing, posting a listing, featuring a listing and getting a verified badge are all free. izebuy is a place to connect buyers and sellers; we never charge for it.
What languages can I use?
izebuy works in English and Chichewa. Post your listings and message sellers in either language — whichever is easier for you and your buyers.
How long does a listing stay live?
A listing stays live for 30 days, then it expires and drops out of the listings. You can renew it in one click from “My Ads” whenever you like.
How do I post a listing?
Create a free account (or sign in with Google), then choose “Post an ad”. Add a few clear photos, pick the right category, set the location and price, write an honest description, and publish.
How do I get my listing featured?
Just contact us and ask — it is free. Featured listings get extra visibility around the site. Reach us by email or on our social channels.
How do I get the verified badge?
Contact us to request verification — it is free. Once approved, a light-blue “Verified” badge shows next to your name on your listings and your storefront, which helps buyers trust you.
How does izebuy earn money?
Through affiliate programs and google adsense. You can read our affiliate disclosure for more details.

Set a Location (or tap “Use my location”) and optionally a radius, then sort by “Nearest”. You will see the closest listings first.
How do I contact a seller?
Open the listing and use the seller’s Call or WhatsApp button, or “Ask a question”. Note that “Ask a question” goes straight to the seller, not to izebuy — we are not part of the conversation or the deal.
Does izebuy handle payment or delivery?
No. izebuy connects buyers and sellers; you arrange payment and collection directly between yourselves. Always meet in a safe place, inspect the item first, and never pay for something you have not seen.

Every listing and every seller page has a “Report” link — use it and the report reaches the izebuy team. (Remember: “Ask a question” goes to the seller, while “Report” comes to us.)
Can I edit, renew or delete my listing?
Yes — go to “My Ads” in your account. From there you can edit, save drafts, renew an expired listing, check its status, or delete it.
Is there an app?
Yes — open izebuy in your phone’s browser and choose “Add to Home Screen”. It installs like an app and even works partly offline.
